Zineware

A publishing experiment that treats software as a small press: useful, editioned and made to circulate.

Software with a print run

Zineware asks what changes when a software release behaves like a zine. Each edition starts with one narrow task, a visual argument and a clear invitation to copy, alter or pass it on.

The project favours small files, legible constraints and distribution through people rather than feeds. The format makes the process visible: sketches sit beside finished screens; references remain attached to the decisions they shaped.

Working method

Every edition moves through the same four stations: collect, cut, compose and circulate. The sequence provides enough structure to finish without turning the work into a production line.
